As a strategic segment for tourism in the region, the Algarve made its debut at the main event of the United Kingdom dedicated to active senior tourism.

The objective is to position the Algarve for this public as an attractive destination throughout the year. In a clear commitment to the segment of active senior tourism, the Algarve Tourism Association (ATA), the agency responsible for promoting the region to foreign markets, participated for the first time in the "The 50+ London Show", one of the largest events held In the UK exclusively dedicated to tourists over 50 years.

With an exclusive stand, the Algarve was present in London on 14 and 15 July with the aim of making known the region as a destination that meets the ideal conditions, with regard to activities and tourist accommodation suitable for a senior audience which tends to travel outside the high season.
