Campaign for sterilization of street dogs and cats

The Pata Ativa Association is going to carry out a campaign of sterilization for street dogs and cats. The Câmara of Albufeira has committed itself to contribute financially. At the Town Hall Meeting on March 1st, the municipality decided that it would financially share the action, which is the first initiative of this kind held by Pata Ativa.

The campaign is mainly aimed at street animals, especially at cat colonies, but private registrations are accepted: you can have your animals sterilized at reduced prices. "The funds are limited, so we will give priority to colonies and animals of the street," explains Pata Ativa.

At the moment, the Active Paw is promoting two other fundraising events: "Animal Solidarity", which consists of collecting donations and material goods such as dry food, wet food, beds, old blankets, leashes, cookies or money. This event will take place on 17 March at 7.30 pm at the headquarters of the Padernense Club and "Rifas Solidárias.
