With a background in creative arts from art school Trent Polytechnic in Nottingham, in 1986, the artist has a vast exhibition curriculum in Britain, in Andalusia and the Algarve.
Anna Cumming and her husband arrived in Alcoutim, in an old fishing boat in 1996 and decided to stay here. Currently residing in a farm next to the Guadiana, the Spanish bank, where the artist has a small wooden studio tucked among olive groves.
The inspiration comes to her, she says, from the nature around them, their own animals and the wildlife that surrounds her. "I paint the nature around me, sometimes a wide landscape, but more often close to nature," said the painter. Recently began to include the human figure in her landscapes.
The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 08h30 to 13h00 and from 14h00 to 16h30, and has free admission.
