For years, this electric sportscar has been in production, but is now finally approved. Which means it can now be sold on the market. This will happen in early 2016 from the production unit installed in Vila Nova de Gaia.
The ambitious project was born from the mind of John Oliveira, passionate about racing cars. And he has devoted many nights to build electric vehicles.
The Veeco goes back a decade when in 2005, Oliveira began working on an electric roadster, inspired by sporty lines. More than design and developing an efficient and energy-efficient vehicle, the project aimed above all to prove that it was possible to build a car in Portugal.
The project is supported by the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa and involves a total budget of around two million euros.
